Posted by: Helal Uddin on 5/25/2014 Categories: |

Blogging is done through posts and not with the pages. Each post should be categorized so that, visitors can find their desired article easily. But, pages don't have labels and tags. Pages are not indexed by Search Engine Crawlers as your posts. Pages are static, without date and time and not listed in the RSS, and don't have sharing or commenting options. A website should have it's own Privacy Policy page, Contact Us page etc. So, how to  create a new page?

The main theme of adding pages is to make important information easily accessible to the visitors. Recently, made an update to the way of creating new pages. Here's a tutorial about how to add a page to your blogger blog.

  • Scroll down to the bottom, and choose "Pages" from the pop-up window.

  • Select your newly published page. Then, Save.

  • Click on the "Save Arrangement".
  • View blog. You will find your pages on your homepage.
  • Many of Custom Template may not support pages to display on top, but, can be added on side bar.

  • Click on the "Edit" of your "Pages" Gadget.
  • A pop-up window will appear. Click on "+ Add external link".

  • In the first box- write a title as you want to appear. Into the box of URL- insert the web address as you want to link to this page. Then- Save link.

  • Save arrangement in the upper right corner to save your layout.
  • You can view your blog to see how your pages appear.

If you want to post to a specific page of your blog, you have to Labelise your posts. Labels helps one to organize his posts. And, visitors can find their desired article by Labels.
