Add a Privacy Policy to Your Blogger's Blog.

Privacy Policy is a web page that reveals info about how the site collects visitor data. If you run or want to run ads from Google, you must have a Privacy Policy to your own blog to comply with Adsense. Look at the image given below: Here's my "Privacy Policy" shown in the Attribution.

Privacy Policy is a component of "Terms and Conditions" of Google Adsense. If you fail to add this to your site, you must be banned or will never be able to publish their Ads. Recently, I came to know  about it and added to my blogger's blog. Here's a quotation from Adsense T.O.S:

"We've also added some specific requirements that make it necessary for publishers to post and abide by a transparent privacy policy that users see. According to this policy, publishers must notify their users of the use of cookies and/or web beacons to collect data in the ad serving process. This change relates to advertisers' use of innovative products and features like Gadget Ads and other offerings in the future."

How to Add a Privacy Policy to Blogger's Attribution:

It's so easy to add your own Privacy Policy to your Blogger's Attribution. Just, follow the steps:

Generating Privacy Policy:

  • In the "Advertise Section", just tick the boxes of which advertisers you use. I added: Google Adsense, Adbrite, Chitika etc. Because, I want to  get their ads in this moment.
  • And then, click on "Create my Privacy Policy".
  • Just, copy the "Privacy Policy" from the new page.

Publishing Privacy Policy:

  • Now, go to Blogger Dashboard and click on the "New Post".
  • Paste the "Privacy Policy"  as a new post that you copied. Give the title: Privacy Policy.
  • You must change your schedule, otherwise it will be shown on your home page. While writing your post, look at the right side bar. Click on the "Schedule" and then "Set date and time".
  • Make sure that, your post date is older than your first post. Suppose, your first post was in 10 January, 2013. Then, you have to set 9 January, 2013 for the "Privacy Policy" post.
  • Publish your post.
  • View newest post named "Privacy Policy".
  • Copy the URL of your new post and save it in your Notepad. Copy the code given below and paste in Notepad also.
  • Edit this code with your post URL (Just replace the URL of the post with your post URL).
<a href="URL of the Post">Privacy Policy</a>

Adding Privacy Policy to Blogger Attribution:

  • Go to Blogger Dashboard, then click "Layout".
  • Scroll down to the "Attribution" at the bottom of the page. Click on "Edit".

  • Yes, you did it.
Now, you can check your blog. There's your Privacy Policy at the bottom of the home page. Adding a Privacy Policy to Blogger's Blog is not so difficult. If the tutorial is helpful for you, then leave a comment.
Thanks a lot.
